Of attempting to do way too much to start the year?
Just wow! All I can say! A start has never gone by this fast and I ask myself why? It is year 27! But it is a happy hyperspace and I have come to the conclusion that I would not like it any other way. Having so much fun I forgot something that is kind of amusing and the topic of today’s “teacher life” post.
Interesting, I got a call from a man this weekend and he started asking questions about teacher training, and blended-learning. Was I still interested and what topics might be picked? Just did not have a clue where this was going. Turns out that I was awarded a $5000 teacher training grant for my district. He was calling to see if I was going to accept and join the program. Now I remember, I applied in the summer and did not catch the email congratulating recipients. So busy, I just don’t open emails from names I do not recognize. I was so embarrassed but he could not have been any nicer!
He went on to explain that he was a teacher and completely understood the fast pace associated with a start to the school year. Almost missed a great opportunity; however, it looks like this one was meant to be! Very excited to be a recipient and be able to provide training for 20 colleagues.
Over and out,
Mike
P.S. Was putting together some emergency lesson plans for the year (just in case) and thought this resource might also save you some time. It is easy to copy, can align to just about all secondary classes, and if you contact me before my next post I will have a special surprise for you.
